Generally I agree with Darwin. Only the strongest will survive. The smartest get ahead. As a race, we are where we are because throughout our development, the slow and the weak have died. We always try to be ahead of the pack.
But what about sloths? In nature they are so slow that they go undetected by predators. The key to understanding sloths is understanding that no matter how strong, fast, or smart we may be, there are always different arenas to compete on. "Theres always more than one way to skin the cat."

Well... I think Sloths are probably more fit for Earth than most humans are. Human beings have spent the past few thousand years undoing nature's balance. As a result, look what we're left with. Fragility.
